Have you ever had something that you wanted to do “someday” but never seem to have the time to do it?
We believe that whatever that ONE THING is for you that you can start making it a reality by starting small and starting now.
Whether it’s learning a new language or simply trying something new, we know it can be hard to feel motivated sometimes.
For example, one thing that we have been telling ourselves we’d like to do someday is to get into better shape and run a series of Spartan races to earn a TRIFECTA.
Even though motivation can be hard to find… sometimes it can come from unexpected places. For instance, a big motivator for us to start getting into better shape was when I found myself in the hospital unable to walk from a spinal injury last year.
It was a wake up call that we couldn’t take our health for granted and that we needed to set some goals that we could get excited about pursuing.
So, after a few months of physical therapy I was able to gradually regain my ability to walk again and we got started on our training… literally one small step at a time.
If you find yourself trying to chase a big goal or overcome a huge challenge, we’ve found it extremely important to celebrate all of the small wins along the way no matter how insignificant they may seem at the time.
Celebrating each small win over the course of a few months had helped me lose nearly 40 pounds and regain enough strength to attempt to run my first triathlon.
As I crossed the finish line on September 25th with my family cheering me on from the sidelines, it felt like a huge step in the right direction.
So, today we are excited to share with you a new video that is premiering on our new channel Making Someday Today where it is our hope to inspire YOU to start making your someday today.
In the video we take you along with us to San Luis Obisbo as we take our FIRST STEP towards making our someday today by completing the first of three spartan races we will be doing this year.
We also share with you what you can expect from your first Spartan race if you choose to do one yourself and provide you with some TIPS that can help you have the best experience possible.
